Rugby Ralph Lauren

"Wait - what? I thought it was Polo Ralph Lauren!" is probably about what's going through your head right now, but no. It's Rugby. Ralph Lauren's new line (or new-ish) is called Rugby Ralph Lauren. I've taken the liberty to go on their website and make my way over to the "Make Your Own" section, where I created my own sweater (for women, you can take your choice of a plain short-sleeved polo shirt, a button down - which I would call une chemise, but we're speaking English here, not French, tempting as it might be - a baseball cap, a tote bag, a cardigan - which is what I did - a striped short-sleeved polo, a color-block long-sleeved polo, a long-sleeved hooded polo dress, or a long-sleeved polo with one big strip through it. For men, you can choose between a long-sleeved wool crewneck, a shawl pullover, a waffle hoodie, a fleece cardigan, a polo shirt, another chemise - pardon my French, literally - a tie, a baseball cap, a tote bag, another long-sleeved crewneck, a flannel hoodie, a two long-sleeved polo-ish things - I'm not quite sure what to call them? They're not exactly polos, I think they might be made out of heavier material - and three striped long-sleeved polos. As you can see, the men's sections has a much bigger selection). If you would like to be the designer of your own personalized Rugby Ralph Lauren garment, click here

Here is my creation (they didn't have an "L" for my first name, so I did a "J" for my last)

Mike & Chris - Resort '10

I find it hard to believe, but totally expected with fashion, that designers are already starting their "resort" collections while we are still in the midst of winter! I can't even bear to think of tank tops and shorts while I'm sitting here freezing my butt off in sweatpants, Ugg boots, and numerous sweaters! But, then again, the fashion world is always moving forward (or in most cases, backwards), so I guess since I have a fashion blog, I am going to have to keep up with the fashion world, which means resort 2010! Since I don't have the energy (or heat) to search for my own selections, I'll show you Mike & Chris'.

Rue21

I did some online shopping about five minutes ago at Rue21, looking for cheap, cute stuff. There wasn't much, but I did find two things. You might be wondering what they are (or you might really not care), but I'm going to tell you no matter how you feel about my finds at Rue21. So here they are:

Zip Front Faux Leather Jacket - $29.99
(Also comes in a lighter tan color)

14" Lace Elastic Waist Tier Skirt - $19.99

New Clothes!!

Okay, I just needed to tell someone about my AMAZING new stuff I got yesterday at the Malibu Country Mart and on Main St. in Santa Monica. First, I'm going to tell you  guys about the Malibu Country Mart. I went to Ron Herman, James Perse, Maxfield, Alice & Olivia, and Banana Republic. So, I usually don't find great stuff at Banana Republic, but yesterday was my lucky day. Although I didn't have much success anywhere else, at Banana Republic I hit the jackpot. I ended up walking out with a white silk shirt with four blue stripes across the top (I know, you're probably thinking "so what?", but I am actually in love with it), a lace patterned skirt, a purple sheer-ish flowy top, and a cream toggle coat that will keep me warm throughout the rest of the winter (and hopefully into spring!). As you can tell, I did a pretty good job, but this was not the end of my shopping excursion, only the very beginning. I spent all afternoon with my friend from New York who happens to be visiting Los Angeles. We walked down Main Street for about two and a half hours. We went into stores like Trunkshow L.A., Monkie, and Bumble Bee, all which I had never heard of before yesterday. I think I'll have to go back to Trunkshow L.A. to get a pair of their $35 J Brand jeans, and I'll definitely have to go back to Bumble Bee. I've signed up for the email list at Monkie, so I'll probably be posting stuff from there regularly. At Bumble Bee, I got a white dress with blue stripes on it and at the top it's all blue. I love it so much and I can't wait to wear it when we get back to school (although I CAN wait to get back to school)!!

More Boots...

Lately, I've been looking for a pair of boots. Not just looking - SEARCHING ... violently; ripping apart stores and knocking down anything (and everything) in my way. Okay, not really, but it feels like it. I didn't realize how hard it actually was to find a good pair of boots. So, here's what I've come up with so far... (I'll post more when I find more):

These ones are called "Distressed Leather Moto Boot"
They are basically just fake leather 3-buckle "Moto Boots." They come in both black and brown (I like both). They are $34.99.

The next pair are called "Regal Boot" and are from Delia's.
They come in a light brownish color called "Cognac." They are just plain, simple boots, and they are $50.50.

Two pairs of Dr. Martens for $62.64. They are both black. The top link is embossed and the bottom one is just plain.

Victoria's Secret "Buckle Riding Boot." The name is pretty self-explanatory, that's exactly what they are. They come in three colors: Brown, Black, and Burgundy, and they are $99

Wanted Shoes "Swiss Military Boot" ... They are pretty much just lace up ankle boots (that are on the tall side for ankle boots). They come in Tan, Brown, and Black. They're $69.99.

Some Good Places to Check if You're Looking for a Pair of Boots That Aren't Too Expensive:
And if you don't find anything there, just comment and I'll post more sites, but I think this is a pretty good start!

ShopRuche

So I don't know if any of you (if there are any of you) reading this know ShopRuche.com. It's just a clothing company, but I was actually looking at it this morning and I found some cute stuff. It's true, you do have to look hard to find things, but it's worth it.
