Rugby Ralph Lauren

"Wait - what? I thought it was Polo Ralph Lauren!" is probably about what's going through your head right now, but no. It's Rugby. Ralph Lauren's new line (or new-ish) is called Rugby Ralph Lauren. I've taken the liberty to go on their website and make my way over to the "Make Your Own" section, where I created my own sweater (for women, you can take your choice of a plain short-sleeved polo shirt, a button down - which I would call une chemise, but we're speaking English here, not French, tempting as it might be - a baseball cap, a tote bag, a cardigan - which is what I did - a striped short-sleeved polo, a color-block long-sleeved polo, a long-sleeved hooded polo dress, or a long-sleeved polo with one big strip through it. For men, you can choose between a long-sleeved wool crewneck, a shawl pullover, a waffle hoodie, a fleece cardigan, a polo shirt, another chemise - pardon my French, literally - a tie, a baseball cap, a tote bag, another long-sleeved crewneck, a flannel hoodie, a two long-sleeved polo-ish things - I'm not quite sure what to call them? They're not exactly polos, I think they might be made out of heavier material - and three striped long-sleeved polos. As you can see, the men's sections has a much bigger selection). If you would like to be the designer of your own personalized Rugby Ralph Lauren garment, click here

Here is my creation (they didn't have an "L" for my first name, so I did a "J" for my last)

Mike & Chris - Resort '10

I find it hard to believe, but totally expected with fashion, that designers are already starting their "resort" collections while we are still in the midst of winter! I can't even bear to think of tank tops and shorts while I'm sitting here freezing my butt off in sweatpants, Ugg boots, and numerous sweaters! But, then again, the fashion world is always moving forward (or in most cases, backwards), so I guess since I have a fashion blog, I am going to have to keep up with the fashion world, which means resort 2010! Since I don't have the energy (or heat) to search for my own selections, I'll show you Mike & Chris'.

Rue21

I did some online shopping about five minutes ago at Rue21, looking for cheap, cute stuff. There wasn't much, but I did find two things. You might be wondering what they are (or you might really not care), but I'm going to tell you no matter how you feel about my finds at Rue21. So here they are:

Zip Front Faux Leather Jacket - $29.99
(Also comes in a lighter tan color)

14" Lace Elastic Waist Tier Skirt - $19.99

New Clothes!!

Okay, I just needed to tell someone about my AMAZING new stuff I got yesterday at the Malibu Country Mart and on Main St. in Santa Monica. First, I'm going to tell you  guys about the Malibu Country Mart. I went to Ron Herman, James Perse, Maxfield, Alice & Olivia, and Banana Republic. So, I usually don't find great stuff at Banana Republic, but yesterday was my lucky day. Although I didn't have much success anywhere else, at Banana Republic I hit the jackpot. I ended up walking out with a white silk shirt with four blue stripes across the top (I know, you're probably thinking "so what?", but I am actually in love with it), a lace patterned skirt, a purple sheer-ish flowy top, and a cream toggle coat that will keep me warm throughout the rest of the winter (and hopefully into spring!). As you can tell, I did a pretty good job, but this was not the end of my shopping excursion, only the very beginning. I spent all afternoon with my friend from New York who happens to be visiting Los Angeles. We walked down Main Street for about two and a half hours. We went into stores like Trunkshow L.A., Monkie, and Bumble Bee, all which I had never heard of before yesterday. I think I'll have to go back to Trunkshow L.A. to get a pair of their $35 J Brand jeans, and I'll definitely have to go back to Bumble Bee. I've signed up for the email list at Monkie, so I'll probably be posting stuff from there regularly. At Bumble Bee, I got a white dress with blue stripes on it and at the top it's all blue. I love it so much and I can't wait to wear it when we get back to school (although I CAN wait to get back to school)!!

More Boots...

Lately, I've been looking for a pair of boots. Not just looking - SEARCHING ... violently; ripping apart stores and knocking down anything (and everything) in my way. Okay, not really, but it feels like it. I didn't realize how hard it actually was to find a good pair of boots. So, here's what I've come up with so far... (I'll post more when I find more):

These ones are called "Distressed Leather Moto Boot"
They are basically just fake leather 3-buckle "Moto Boots." They come in both black and brown (I like both). They are $34.99.

The next pair are called "Regal Boot" and are from Delia's.
They come in a light brownish color called "Cognac." They are just plain, simple boots, and they are $50.50.

Two pairs of Dr. Martens for $62.64. They are both black. The top link is embossed and the bottom one is just plain.

Victoria's Secret "Buckle Riding Boot." The name is pretty self-explanatory, that's exactly what they are. They come in three colors: Brown, Black, and Burgundy, and they are $99

Wanted Shoes "Swiss Military Boot" ... They are pretty much just lace up ankle boots (that are on the tall side for ankle boots). They come in Tan, Brown, and Black. They're $69.99.

Some Good Places to Check if You're Looking for a Pair of Boots That Aren't Too Expensive:
And if you don't find anything there, just comment and I'll post more sites, but I think this is a pretty good start!

ShopRuche

So I don't know if any of you (if there are any of you) reading this know ShopRuche.com. It's just a clothing company, but I was actually looking at it this morning and I found some cute stuff. It's true, you do have to look hard to find things, but it's worth it.

Etsy: HauteCandy

Thanks to Style Taboo, I now know about Etsy, which led me to make a lovely discovery: HAUTE CANDY. I like most of the things, but a few pieces (like the gold lame and the pink sequins) are a little (in my HUMBLE opinion) are a bit tacky, but of course what do I know? I'm just a girl blogging into a big, empty black hole called the internet.

Long Time No Post

Okay. So, I haven't been on my blog in a super long time. Maybe that's because nobody reads it? Well anyways, I miss blogging. It gives me something to do in my free time (which, these days, i have a lot of). So I'm coming back, but hopefully I'll get maybe a follower or two or at least a comment... That would be nice. I'll cross my fingers.

I Wish Someone Would Read My Blog :(

I'm writing this but there really is no point. I don't think anyone has read this blog yet actually so I'm not really sure who I'm talking to. Just pouring myself out on to the World Wide Web... This is depressing. Well, I guess I'll keep posting because no one's reading it anyway, right?

If you do happen to come across this, please comment. It would make my day. Maybe even my week. You don't have to say much, just please say something.

Thanks!

Other Blogs!

So here's two other blogs I found while browsing ...

This first one's in some other language (I'm not quite sure what it is). A bunch of pairs of cool earrings caught my eye.

Okay I'm going to be honest with you - I LOVE FOOD. I love cooking, baking, eating.... basically anything that has to do with food. I came across this website and it looked kinda cool so I decided to post it.

My Perfect Leather Jacket ...

Last night I couldn't fall asleep so I decided to dream while I was awake - about my perfect leather jacket.

Another Drawing

Just another one of my drawings...

Just A Sketch...

Add ImageOne of my weird hobbies is sketching clothes and then trying to find clothes that look like them. Here's one of my attempts. I think I did a pretty good job.

Beige

So I made this one a while ago, but I just decided I still liked it so I'm posting it.

Something Beautiful

I decided to experiment a bit with putting a zippered skirt with a zippered shirt. I think this turned out pretty nicely.

Yoco

So this is Yoco! It's an Asian clothing company (I'm not quite sure from where exactly) with AMAZING (or at least in my mind) things for such cheap prices. The only thing I'm not sure about is the fact that they don't ask you for your size before you put items in your cart. I haven't ordered anything from there yet, but I plan to in the very near future so I'll let you know! If you wanna check out their website here it is:

Oh and one other thing is that a lot of their items are unavailable, but they do get in A TON of new stuff all the time so just make sure to keep an eye out...

CORRECTION: I just realized they do tell you what size you're getting; you just have to look at the product description on the bottom of the page.

For some reason I seem to have a bit of an obsession with Australian fashion...

Sorry - I haven't quite figured out how to make a link yet.

My First Post

So. I'm kinda new to this. No idea what I'm doing, but here goes....

Okay so I've been wanting to start a fashion blog for the longest time and this is my first attempt. So maybe you like it maybe you don't but I'll give it my best shot.
